More On The Benefits Of Aloe Vera

Filed under: Fitness, Gastrointestinal Health, Women's Health — TomB @ 10:26 am

I first came across aloe vera on a sunny beach in Jamaica where I had just experienced the tropical sun that turned my torso into a red pepper. Seeing my obvious condition, a native appeared on the beach with a long plant leaf and she said this will fix your imminent pain. She cut across the leaf and out oozed a clear jel which she applied to my shoulders, back, and face. I felt better right away!

The leaf she cut was the infamous aloe vera plant, and it is one of the most multi-faceted herbal remedies around. Aside from relieving sunburn, it is used for treating eczema, hair loss,as a skin moisturizer in cosmetics, and even as a laxative! To find out more about aloe vera, stop by Natural Health Trip.

What Are The Benefits Of Aloe Vera?

Filed under: Fitness — TomB @ 3:02 pm

My first encounter with Aloe Vera was when I was in Jamaica several years ago and managed to get sunburn so severe I thought I was going have to go to the hospital. The thought of going to a hospital, or what passed for a hospital, in Negril, was pretty scary, so I was happy when one of the many sales entrepreneurs on the beach came by and saw me (like it never happens to fair-skinned Yanks from Chicago or Minneapolis) and came to my rescue. He had just what I needed–Aloe Vera leaves! He cut across one and out oozed a clear balm that he applied to my crispy body, and it worked like a charm! The right person at the right place at the right time got ten dollars for some gel that oozed out of a leaf. I would have paid ten times that to relieve the pain!

Well, now that I’m stateside and pale again, I did some research on aloe vera and found it is a popular skin care and medical product–sort of a wonder drug. Stop by my blog, Natural Health Trip, and lerarn more about the benefits of aloe vera
