Therapies For Osteoarthritis

Filed under: Arthritis — Vanessa Youngstrom @ 3:26 pm

Osteoarthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease that commonly affects four different joints; knees, hips, hands and spine. Patients often have pain, swelling, discomfort and stiffness in the affect joints. There is never redness or heat, which is associated with another of the arthritic conditions.

The cause of Osteoarthritis has not been conclusively determined. Researchers believe that prior injuries, genetic factors and chemical production all contribute to the development of the disease. Many people over 65 have arthritic changes in their joints that are not associated with the pain and swelling of osteoarthritis. You’ll see more at Your-Health-Answers
