From the Desk Of…

482101323Do you want to know what’s not so funny? It’s when someone goes to the ER so frequently that the staff and doctors remember her. That isn’t funny, but that was my reality for years until I decided to embark on what I called a sacred healing journey with Quantum Techniques (QT) in 2013.

It all started with an innocent cough that led to something chronic and nightmarish. I survived through two ICU admissions at the ages of 8 and 17 and with many hospitalizations in between and more thereafter (certainly not something to brag about or be proud of).

For years, I had thought everything was under control. I presumed I had a normal life. I graduated from a university, went to graduate school, and I even had plan on applying for a doctorate in Clinical Psychology because the dean at my undergrad and my clinical supervisor told me I would make a great psychologist. In addition, I worked full-time, volunteered, co-founded a youth organization, held dinner parties, voted, and went on road trips.

For fun, I was a self-proclaimed investigative foodie and went to sporting events. One time, I stopped by a restaurant because there was a long line outside and I wanted to know what the hype was all about. So I found myself in that line, waited for hours under the sun, only to discover the food was okay (my opinion). At another time, I enjoyed watching a game of football even though the only thing I knew to watch out for was when a player scored a touchdown.

For recreation, I did power yoga, circuit-training, walked, hiked, and biked. But, the most important of it all, I had friends to do these activities with except when I exercised; that I did alone. Little did I know that all of that would come crashing down overnight; dreams vanished, hopes crushed, and life hung on by a thread.

My health started to decline in late 2003, but I thought that it was just a part of having a chronic respiratory illness. The first sign of trouble began when I noticed I couldn’t walk up the stairs in 2005. Next, I discovered I couldn’t bike ride and go farther than a few feet. Then, I realized I couldn’t step outside my house without getting into a full-blown respiratory distress each time. At the end of 2011, things took a nosedive.

The ER trips became more frequent with 12 hospitalizations out of 13 ER visits in 2012. I was put on oxygen and I could barely mutter a few words. To have a 5-15 minute conversation with someone meant I had had to save up my energy the day before. Majority of the days, found me with shooting pain that ran through my entire back and neck where I couldn’t sit for longer than 10 minutes at a time.

But, that was just a brief walk down memory lane. Please note the word brief.

Today, my life glimmers with optimism, vibrancy, and love. I call this a sacred healing journey with QT because it’s work that is between me and the Divine. Although I walk this journey at times with bleeding footsteps, it’s worth it when I raise my conscious awareness and I experience true freedom and health. Each day, I remember more and more of who I AM.

And, dear friends, no matter how difficult the challenge, you can do it too. We all have our own work to do and a journey we’re on, but with perseverance and persistence, that will pay off.

Change and truth may be both uncomfortable when we take a deep look within ourselves, but the more we do so, and meet it bravely, the more we lose the false identities that try to hold us hostage, captive, and from living the life we are meant to be, do, and have.

It’s not always easy, but it does get easier and easier and your burden will become lighter and lighter. Once you shed the old and false selves, what you get is a beautiful and magnificent YOU. Love and appreciate it.

Since times are also changing, I am glad you are a part of QT: the premier, global, leading edge energy medicine modality that is moving at lightning speed to help you help yourself and “bring healing to chaos.”

When you consider the state of our food supply, the constant barrage of toxic chemicals all around us, and radiation levels soaring along the west coast, you’ll understand why it’s important to stay up-to-date with the latest information and tools to help you navigate through this enigma called life.

Therefore, these blog posts are a great way to stay abreast of what’s going on and be informed about the exciting world of QT and also the world at large. There’s always something new at QT so you definitely want to be at the forefront of that.

When I started on this sacred healing journey with QT, I had no idea that I would one day be given the opportunity to empower you with words. I am grateful to be alive today to live to share my story and I hope that it would serve as an inspiration for you or for someone you know.

Thank you for reading and please feel free to share future articles with someone who might benefit from the information. E-mail me at blog[at] for any thoughts, story ideas, or just to say hello. Turn towards the light or the light will find you.

Much love, gratitude, and blessings!
