I’m Dr. Stephen Daniel, the co founder of QuantumTechniques.com with my wife Beth, the most comprehensive form of total healing energy medicine practiced in the world today. I’m coming to you as a recovered psychologist. I gained from it but I learned its shortcomings. I was trained in EFT, TFT, a lot of the “Ts”. I practice QT, and that’s the other T, but yet I found there was something missing. I’ve done lots of psychotherapy, EFT, Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and I’m doing QT on myself and with clients, so why am I still unhappy and sick? The primary issue is you need a shift in consciousness. What does that mean?
To start, there are some great teachers to review. Some like Vernon Howard and Anthony de Mello, have passed on. One who runs a great teaching clinic in Oregon, is Guy Finley. These are probably my three go to guides, if I want to be shaken awake in a positive way. So, what does that mean? Even with all those techniques that I mentioned above, all the “Ts”, and changing your diet and everything else, I’ve never seen someone heal, truly heal permanently, from a lifetime of disease where the disease was mental or physical unless they made a shift in consciousness. That’s what those three authors, Vernon Howard, Guy Finley, Anthony de Mello, talk about. There are many others, but those are my favorites.
For example, the only thing that’s ever healing and truly always my friend, is truth. Great statement. Second one, if I leave the present moment in my thinking and I go to the past or the future, I’ve just made a choice to suffer. Whoa. My thinking is not my friend. As a psychologist, that’s one of the things I had to recover from – I thought I was my thinking and I confused thinking with experience, thinking with awareness. If I’m thinking about something, I’m not in the moment. All healing happens in the present moment because all connection with the divine happens in the present moment.
So instead of being in the present moment, in awareness, and hearing, and seeing, I’m thinking about the moment; nothing’s going to happen. If you’re stuck in the “Ts”, EFT, TFT, QT, psychotherapy T, and you’re unhappy, consider a shift in consciousness. The first thing you’ll do is get highly offended by reading these books and studying these authors because they’re going to show you the things you don’t want to see about yourself. However, I ask you this question: if you’re right in your beliefs, why do you suffer so much? If what you believe was true, why do you suffer so much? I’m going to challenge you. What you believe is not completely true.
When I find myself suffering, I ask my question, did I leave the present moment? What’s the truth trying to come into my life that I’m refusing to see and believe because it will make me uncomfortable? I might ask another question, who am I trying to blame for this? There is no gain in blame, only pain. So, there’s a few core spiritual truths and if you immerse yourself in these authors as well as using EFT, QT, TFT, to resolve your trauma fields, you can transform your life. I know I have.
So, consider a journey on the wild side! Consider changing your consciousness, being more in love with truth than your belief systems, more in love with truth than your comfort. Be a student that says, “I want to know truth no matter what it costs.” Now, the truth will cost you everything; everything you’ve been attached to that’s caused all you’re suffering, but in that you’re going to find freedom. You’re going to find gratitude, bliss and peace. So I encourage you to join us on the journey at QT – be a student of consciousness.
Hi Stephen,
Great post! I will certainly check out these authors. They are all quite prolific and cover several topics. It would be great if you could suggest some titles to start with.
I would like to offer this as an aid to focus on the present (and it’s from Hawaii!):
THE PRINCIPLES OF HUNA
1. The World Is What You Think It Is
You create your own personal experience of reality through your beliefs, expectations, attitude, desires, fears, judgments, feelings and consistent or persistent thoughts and actions.
2. There Are Infinite Possibilities
There are real connections between you and your body, you and other people, you and the world & you and the Infinite. You can create, in some form or another, anything you can conceive.
3. Energy Flows Where Attention Goes
The thoughts and feelings that you dwell on form the blueprint for bringing into your life the nearest available equivalent experience to those same thoughts and feelings.
4. Now Is The Moment of Power
You are free from the influence of any experience of the past, or of any perception of the future. As you change your mind, you change your experience.
5. All Power Comes From Within
The power of the Infinite works through you in your life. Your choices and decisions direct that power. Only you have power over yourself or your destiny unless you let another person have it.
6. Effectiveness Is The Measure of Truth
There cannot be an absolute truth. Instead there must be an effective truth at an individual level of consciousness.
7. To Love Is To Be Happy With
Love has two aspects, being and becoming, and involves the creation of happiness.
You continue to be a pioneer in and major contributor to Energy Medicine. Thank You!!!
Be well,
Tom

Tom, I’m in agreement with your comments related to the principles of Huna; very insightful. The books you’ve selected are excellent choices. I can suggest two others, The Secret of Letting Go, by Guy Finley and The Mystery of Life Solved, by Vernon Howard.
