I’m Dr. Carolee Johnson with Quantum Techniques, and today I want to talk a little bit about anxiety. I ask people, “What is it that triggers your anxiety?” And they’ll say, “Well, if I go here, or if I leave the house, or if this happens, or if I see these people, then it brings my anxiety level way up.” I understand these reactions as I have experienced chronic anxiety in the past. One thing that can significantly reduce one’s anxiety level is to test your foods and personal products, particularly inhalants, to see what is contributing to that anxiety. Even though you may feel like you don’t have any food allergies, sometimes there are foods that react with the microbiome in the enteric nervous system to cause anxiety. It could be wheat, dairy, or something else that is causing the reaction, so getting the diet modified is the number one factor in reducing anxiety. Make sure that you also test any inhalants that you can think of – laundry detergent is a big one, and could very well make a big difference in your anxiety level. By eliminating the problem items, when you experience a situation that makes you nervous, you will actually feel more like you can handle it and do much better in those situations where you would normally feel anxious.
